Up and out early, I want to reach Kentucky today. I push hard all morning and make Cherokee Nc. by 12:45 260 miles of great weather. Now the sky is dark, I hear thunder and see lightning, but so far no rain. I put on my rain gear, grab my full face helmet and head into Great Smoky Mountain national park. This is a nice ride, I stop a few times for pictures but with the sky looking this dark ,,do not stay too long. I come out of the park and turn towards Pigeon Forge and the sky lets loose. So much for making Kentucky today, I decide to get a room, some dinner and catch a show while I am in town.

Time to go home, I decide to go straight home. I75 to Lexington , pick up rt 68 to Aberdeen Ohio up rt 41 to 32 to 23,, no sightseeing today, I am tired..it has been a great trip ,,but I am ready to end it.
